HOW DOES NANOSALV WORK?
NanoSALV Catalytic Treatment Matrix (CTM) technology employs ultra-small, efficiency-boosting catalysts to kickstart and support the body’s natural wound healing mechanisms, using materials that are compatible and already present within the body’s own biology.
The CTM gel is designed to reduce the thresholds needed to achieve optimal healing outcomes, reduce inflammation, and provide safe and effective broad-spectrum antimicrobial and biofilm protection within the matrix.
NanoSALV is a Health Canada approved medical device indicated for use in the effective management of acute and chronic wounds across the full continuum of care. This includes:
- Early-Stage Prevention and Acute Wounds: Providing skin and/or minor wound support at early stages for both low and high-risk patients, including diabetics, elderly, and immunocompromised to minimize progression into chronic, life-threatening wounds.
- Chronic and Advanced Stage Wounds: Management of severe/chronic wounds to stimulate natural, endogenous healing and exit the stagnant wound phase, aiming to prevent amputation.
- Infection Protection: Providing a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect to control and minimize infection against resistant bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast, and biofilms, while reducing harmful impacts on healing or healthy cells.
- Post-Surgical Intervention: Providing post-surgical support to facilitate healing outcomes and minimize infection, re-infection, ulceration, and re-ulceration for high-risk individuals.
HOW TO TREAT SKIN AND WOUNDS WITH NANOSALV
- Clean and dry affected skin or wound.
-
Treat: Use a clean applicator or your finger to apply a paper-thin layer of NanoSALV to the entire area of affected skin or wound, including peri-wound, tunneling, and/or undermining. NanoSALV must be the first layer applied. A pea-sized amount covers a 10 x 10 cm (4"x 4") area
- Cover with a physical bandage/dressing OR wait 30 seconds for gel to dry, then gently apply an ointment, barrier cream, or lotion.
- Repeat. Re-apply with each dressing change, or as needed (eg. if NanoSALV is washed or sweated off) to maintain consistent and direct contact.
